Comic Book Information

Archive for February, 2009

I have a lot of comic books. How can I find out the years of them? I have a price guide, but I want to find out the most I can. Like if I have any that are rare or not.

not really sure if I understand the question about finding the years of them usually comics are dated either on the cover or on the page that contains the names of the people who worked on the book.
Most modern comics are not rare.

Are there any easy ways to get a good price for your comic book collection? I’m trying to sell old comic books that I have, online.

The simplest way to sell old comics for dollars (rather than cents) is to have them sealed and graded before putting them for sale online. This instantly protects the value of your comic books and increases buyer interest in purchasing your collection.

I am very interested in both urban legends and comics. I was just wondering if any comic books exist that contain stories of urban legends. i really appreciate any help!

You're in luck! Years ago, Paradox Press ( a division of DC Comics) published a line called Big Books. Each one contained several dozen true stories based on different topics. One of them is the Big Book of Urban Legends, and it was the best in the series!

Do yourself a favor and pick this up. I'd really like to hear if you take my advice, so message me if you do!

I have a couple of boxes of comic books that I needed to store in the garage, and I was wondering if it was okay to store them there, without worrying about damaging them?

Also, I have some that aren't in protective casing, and I was wondering if that would be an issue as well? No pun intended, hehe.

Anyways, thanks in advance! (:

Hello ,
It would be best to insure their condition by protection from extremes in both heat and cold as well as the air which will discolor the paper .
They should be fine for a temporary time in the garage .
