The story mad me … The story mad me laugh out loud in a good way Alex. I couldnt help but think that your writing style would fit well with John Romita, Jr if you do stories like that in the future, which says alot.
I enjoyed the first … I enjoyed the first half of Hulk Team Up. It was neat, it fit into continuity very well (though I won’t really care because I’m not much of a continuity nerd). The art was kinda “Marvel Adventure-y” but it wasn’t bad.
The second half… Eh. Don’t get me wrong, Alex. You seem like a nice guy and all but I did not like your story. Hulk and Dazzler didn’t even accomplish anything with their “team up”. The art was good though.
2, 1 then 3 - but … 2, 1 then 3 - but three’s a bagger.
Good fun story, Alex - the mismatch is an old-school new-writer move you don’t really see these days since ‘new’ blood usually comes from other media or editorial staffers going freelance, but I really enjoyed it and I’d love to see more. Keep pitching, but accept some stuff will fall by the way.
This episode also kinda answered a question I was hoping to ask: if a writer is a nice guy, does it affect your opinion/enjoyment of his work?
I was talking about … I was talking about to LCS owner about this today, and he mentioned that the back up was a lot more interesting than the main story. This was before I mentioned this show and Alex.
Congrats, I think … Congrats, I think it would be realy excited to be actually published by Marvel, but… I don’t know, wouldn’t dancing be the kind of thing that gets Banner’s adrenaline levels up? Shouldn’t he be actually avoiding it? I mean, if I had his “little problem” I’d try to live the most quiet and sedentary life possible.
man I laughed do … man I laughed do hard in this episode Pete really didn’t hold back it was awesome. Best episode of the ComicBookClub so far. Ill check out the issue though I trust it should be good since Alex wrote it.
Bought it, read it … Bought it, read it and honestly enjoyed it. Pete’s criticism is complete whack-a-doo, as he obviously did not read the issue very closely. We’re immediately aware that the story is initially set in a bar and only in Pete’s universe would a kareokee-deli exist. I’m a Dazzler lover from way back and you really did her justice. Loved the X-Tinction Agenda reference and the bartender was full of Doug Ramsey wisdom. Great job Alex. I look forward to fondly refering to the Zalben run on team-up.
I’m joining the … I’m joining the list of people who are going to go pick this up tomorrow. But I can’t stop laughing about you making bruce a great dancer.
I missed this comic … I missed this comic, probably because I usually dont seek out hulk issues. It sounds good though. I’ll pick it up next time I’m at the comic shop. can’t wait.
