You’d probably enjoy ‘All Star Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder’ as well. Again, written by Frank Miller but the illustrations done by Jim Lee and Scott Williams are breathtaking.

if you live in a big city, like atlanta or new york city, or something like that, then put them in a comic store that is willing to pay big bucks for them, other wise put them on ebay and auction them off! ithink ebay would probably be the better answer though

you can create a free account and enter up to 50 comics and it will track there values for you or sign up for a pay account and put your entire collection on there
oh but you dont have to be a member to check the values, only if you want to track comics or contribute information

look at yahoo auctions or e-bay.

look at comicbook buyers guide magazine or website
or even get a wizard magazine

if you really want the whole guide on comics -get an Overstreet price guide for around $18 soft-cover

well, you could go to a comic store nearby and ask if they could tell you. or an easy thing to do would be to go on ebay and see what similar comics are selling for.

If you’re interested in superheroes, I would go for Astonishing X-Men by Joss Whedon and John Cassaday. They recently released a so-called "Omnibus" which is a 600-something page collection of this critically acclaimed series about the X-Men.
You don’t need a lot of prior knowledge either, if you have a general knowledge of the X-Men you should be good to go. However, this volume is pretty expensive and might be a bit too much for you epecially if you are not certain you’re going to like it.

You can try some of the more well known comics like Watchmen. An amazing work but maybe a bit heavy if you are a beginner in comics.

Other works you might enjoy include All Star Superman (as mentioned by another commenter) or Batman: The Long Halloween.

You should just browse the web (amazon.com for example), check out some stuff you might like and look at reviews. Just try something and find out what you like!
